Alan Parsons Project nos presenta la edición superlujo de su gran álbum I Robot
El emblemático álbum "I Robot" de Alan Parsons Project será reeditado el próximo 18 de octubre en diversos formatos: CD, vinilo y una edición limitada Super Deluxe.
El segundo álbum de estudio de Alan Parsons Project, «I Robot», considerado por la crítica como uno de los mejores álbumes conceptuales de todos los tiempos, se va a reeditar en diversos formatos, incluyendo una caja Super Deluxe.
Lanzado originalmente en el mes de julio de 1977, el álbum se inspira conceptualmente en las historias de ciencia ficción de robots del autor Isaac Asimov, explorando temas filosóficos relacionados con el futuro actual y la inteligencia artificial.
El anuncio de la edición señala: «I Robot fue un éxito mundial, con ventas estimadas de más de dos millones de copias, además de alcanzar el disco de Platino y Oro en numerosos países. Al igual que otros álbumes de Alan Parsons Project, contó con la participación de diversos vocalistas principales, como Steve Harley, Allan Clarke, Lenny Zakatek, Peter Straker, Jack Harris y Jaki Whitren, además de una selección de músicos de sesión como el guitarrista Ian Bairnson y el baterista Stuart Tosh, con arreglos de orquesta de Andrew Powell».

La edición Super Deluxe, que se lanzará el 17 de octubre a un costo de 190 $us, es una auténtica delicia para los fans. Incluye 4 CDs con 70 pistas adicionales, un Blu-ray con una nueva remezcla en Dolby ATMOS y sonido envolvente 5.1 y una remasterización en HD del álbum original, una edición audiófila de dos LPs a 45 rpm, un libro de tapa dura y una réplica de la carpeta de prensa.
Los 4 CDs de la Edición Super Deluxe contienen una remasterización estéreo del álbum original de Miles Showell, además de 70 temas extra (47 inéditos) de grabaciones de estudio. Las nuevas mezclas provienen de las cintas máster multipista originales, junto con una nueva remasterización estéreo HD del álbum original.
El Blu-ray también incluye el video promocional restaurado de «I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You» y una entrevista con Eric Woolfson hablando del álbum.
El vinilo doble de 180 gramos y 45 rpm, con funda gatefold, desplegable, contiene una remasterización a media velocidad realizada por Showell en los famosos estudios de Abbey Road.
Un libro de tapa dura de 30 x 30 cm, totalmente ilustrado, incluye entrevistas con Alan Parsons, la familia Woolfson y gran parte del personal, así como letras completas y comentarios sobre los temas extra.
La caja también incluye una réplica del dossier de prensa original con un póster gigante tamaño A1, reproducción de biografías originales, foto de prensa, carta de prensa y postal promocional.
