David Gilmour estrena Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome un LP en vivo y una película de concierto
"Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome" se exhibirá en salas IMAX a partir del miércoles 17 de septiembre y el álbum "The Luck and Strange Concerts" se lanza al mes siguiente.
David Gilmour lanzará un par de nuevos proyectos que son seleccionados de su espectacular gira del 2024 para promocionar su álbum de estudio más reciente, "Luck and Strange".
El primero de ellos va a ser la película «Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome», que se estrenará en cines el 17 de septiembre. Un mes después, el 17 de octubre, se lanzará el álbum en directo «The Luck and Strange Concerts» junto con «Live at the Circus Maximus» en Blu-ray, DVD y vinilo.
Tras el lanzamiento del quinto álbum en solitario de David Gilmour, "Luck and Strange", en septiembre de 2024, el ex guitarrista y cantante de Pink Floyd protagonizó una gira de 23 conciertos para la promoción del nuevo disco.
Tras los conciertos de pretemporada en Brighton, Gilmour se dirigió al Circo Máximo de Roma para seis shows con entradas agotadas. Tanto el próximo álbum como la película son grabados en esta actuación de Gilmour en Italia.
«Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome» se presentará en IMAX en cines selectos a partir del 17 de septiembre. Un mes después, estarán disponibles las versiones en álbum y vídeo de la película del concierto.
Los conciertos de "Luck and Strange" se lanzarán en un pack de dos CDs (25 $us) y un pack de cuatro LPs (135 $us) el 17 de octubre del 2025. Además, estará disponible una caja Super Deluxe que incluye un libro de tapa dura de 120 páginas con fotos de la gira tomadas por Polly Samson,la esposa de David Gilmour y colaboradora en el LP de 2024, además de otros formatos.
La música que va a lanzar Gilmour va a incluir canciones del LP «Luck and Strange» («The Piper’s Call», «Between Two Points»), la carrera solista de Gilmour («5 A.M.», In Any Tongue») y grandes clásicos de Pink Floyd («Wish You Were Here», «The Great Gig In The Sky», «Comfortably Numb», «Fat Old Sun» y otros.
